Hypertrichosis

Hypertrichosis is when you have excessive amount of hair.

This happens due to androgen hormone around 2nd growth time. However, the hormone can't the the sole reason. It just hair growing abnormally a lot.

Reason of Hypertrichosis

Hypertrichosis is an excessive hair disorder featuring abnormal hair density and length as compared to
normal growth expected for the individuals’s age, ethnicity and sex. A diagnosis of hypertrichosis does not imply any particular hair distribution. Except in very rare cases there is no androgen hormone involvement
in cases of hypertrichosis. In contrast, excessive hair growth diagnosed as hirsutism in women involves androgen hormone activity and a male pattern of hair growth on the chin, upper lip, and other areas where
men have terminal hair growth.

      1) Generalized congenital hypertrichosis

This is a rare inherited disorder. At birth, the long and silky lanugo hairs, normally shed before or shortly
after birth, remain on the infant’s entire body, sparing only the palms and soles. The growth is typically
more on the face, ears and shoulders. In the documented cases, no reduction in hair growth was seen
    later in life.

      2) Acquired hypertrichosis

This is not something you inherited but due to enviormental/ physical stimulation. This can lead to dibetes,
or other diseases and can also raise your blood pressure. This can also happened due to taking drugs.
This acquired hypertrichosis require treatment as soon as possible.

      3) Excessive growth of facial or body hair in women is called hirsutism.

Hirsutism is not a disease. The condition usually develops during puberty and becomes more pronounced
as the years go by. However, an inherited tendency, over-production of male hormones (androgens), medication, or disease, can cause it to appear at any age. Women who have hirsutism usually have
irregular menstrual cycles. They sometimes have small breasts and deep voices, and their muscles and genitals may become larger than women without the condition.
